旧約聖書詩編23：エドガー・ケイシー療法
私の好きな詩
真実を求める人間に、神は魂をやすらぎ、水辺に休ませる、悪魔や敵を目前にしても、正しい道に導かれる。死の陰の谷を歩もうとも、悪魔を恐れることもなく
「神は、敵を目の前にして、私に宴を設け、私の頭にオイルをそそがれる、私の酒杯は溢れます」神の祝福がもたらされるときにまた神と一体化の一つの形は油をそそぐことに象徴されている。
イエスはキリスト、「（聖）油をそそがれた人」と呼ばれた。
キリストとは「油をそそがれた」という意味。
そのいみで以下の聖書の詩編23を読むと油（オイル）の意味が違ってくる。
A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want;
he makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still
waters;
he restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for
his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I
fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff, they
comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
thou anointest my head with oil, my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my
life; and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
